Hosting
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., USA. When you open a page, your browser transmits technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the requested page and your browser type. This data is necessary to display the website; GitHub also logs IP addresses for security purposes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in delivering a secure website. Data may be transferred to the USA; GitHub is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. How long GitHub keeps log data is set out in the GitHub privacy statement.
Visitor statistics
This website uses GoatCounter, with servers in Germany and Finland, to count page views. GoatCounter uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not store IP addresses. It records the page visited, the referring website, browser and operating system, screen size, browser language, and the country and region derived from the IP address. A random identifier, kept only in memory for at most eight hours, recognises repeated page views within one visit. No personal profiles are created. The statistics are kept until I delete them. No cookies
This website sets no cookies and loads fonts, icons and documents only from itself. A light or dark mode you choose is stored only in your own browser.
If you write to me, I use your message and email address only to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in answering enquiries. I delete the correspondence once it is concluded, unless statutory retention periods apply.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte in Saxony.
Right to object
Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An email to mail@bakeer.de is sufficient.
